“I have now moved beyond the canvas, to stretch my paintings and photographs into the 3rd dimension. Printing my paintings and photography onto a LIMITED EDITION SERIES of soft, FAUX SUEDE PILLOWS durable TOTE BAGS and now SWEATSHIRTS & HOODIES! New designs and items will be introduced over time, and classified into PHASES and Volumes. Some are seasonal-based products such as the HOODIES & SWEATSHIRTS.
The 3 main themes that I focus on are ABSTRACTION, GEOMETRIC / OP ART PATTERNS and FLORALS. To me, these are the 3 foundational design themes seen on multiple products and on items such as walls, rugs, clothing, furniture, accessorires, etc.
No longer confined to the walls on a flat canvas, my images can now roam freely with you on Tote Bags or utilized in different parts of the home such as the 14x14 inch Faux Suede Pillows.
VISIONS of the SUN is my platform to present my paintings and photography onto items utilizing print-on-demand (POD) technology and manufacturing resources to the public in an focused effort.
Form and Function with a Purpose is the goal of my Custom Art Merchandise.
Thank you for looking.”
Floral Designs have been used throughout time in many areas from buildings, picture frames, rugs, clothing, accessories, curtains and furniture. They add a touch of nature to our inner environments.
Geometric Designs are seen in both nature and in all structures, machines, motors, etc. There is a hidden beauty within the patterns of repetition and form.
OP ART (Optical Art), refers to the use of repetitive patterns and few colors (Black & White which are the most eye catching), to create the sensation of visual movement. Examples are checkerboards and spirals.
Abstract Designs are expressions of creativity that look at things without limitation, mixing the past with the present, a constant collage of ideas and influences to shape the image.
Paintings and Prints are given a new life by being placed onto 3-dimensional objects. They are not confined to an 8x10-inch area on a T-Shirt anymore.
I use the AOP (all-over print) process to enlarge and have my images on every part of the surface of each item creating eye catching designs with vibrant, colors.
Tote Bags can easily carry groceries, clothing, and other items, and soft pillows can be used at home or while traveling. Sweatshirts and Hoodies can help you keep warm during colder weather conditions.
I want to share my images with more people. Once a painting is sold, it’s gone from the public eye. Utilizing Custom Art Merchandise, my work can be experienced in multiple ways more than hanging alone on a wall.
I start with an image of the painting(s) or photograph and digitally replace the background color.
The 1st phase of products utilized closeup views of my paintings. Now, I'm incorporating more kaleidoscopic elements into my designs to create my patterns.
The final design is then placed into different manufacturer templates for each item. These are made with the POD (print-on-demand) process, which eliminates production waste and the creation of unused merchandise.
This is an example of another pattern where I left the original wood table in the background and incorporated it into the pattern.
After I've applied a Kaleidoscope filter to the image, I have a symmetrical pattern to work with.
Some designs such as this one, go through another Kaleidoscope filter, giving it a "wallpaper" effect that creates a whole different image and impression from its original.
