 Margaret Keane's "Big Eyed Pity Puppy Painting" was my 1st painting that sat in my room. It was hauntingly sad, yet soothing at the same time. The sad, big eyed puppy was alone in his cage and I was alone in my room thinking, wondering as new thoughts were forming in my little mind. 

Sitting at my toy box like a mini drawing table under my window with 8 red metal frames... my first frames creating mini pictures of the outside world in my window causing me to daydream... looking up and around the room which was painted in a light green color floor to ceiling that was white with one bright uncovered bulb on the wall by the door.

I've always liked light green walls and light green in paintings and the use of it in Art Deco Designs, Product and Architecture. 

Being exposed to posters at the mall, mom's friend Artist Don Marsh who introduced me to more illustration techniques and abstract painting styles such as a color block painting he did like a Rothko. Elementary School Art classes introduced me to sculpture and painting. My first color blending with these large, wooden brushes on water warped paper was purple, orange then green .

My early influences were Artists such as Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Rembrandt, Michelangelo, Man Ray, Jackson Pollock, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Romare Bearden, Steve Ditko, John Byrne and George Pérez.

Art Movements such as DADA, Surrealism, Modernism, Op Art, Psychedelic Art, Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Pop Art and Abstract Art

Genres: Sci-fi, Horror and Art films, Marvel, DC comics 

Cultures:  African Art, Native American Art, Ancient Art

Visual Trends: Punk, New Wave, Disco, Funk

All have inspired my painting themes, subject matter, brush strokes, textures, sizes and names.

I wanted to see how many different surfaces I could paint on. So far I have: Skin, Metal, Wood, Canvases, Paper, Glass, Plastic, Brick, Food, Foam objects, Plexiglass, Rooms, Walls, Clothes, Vehicles and a Door to my credit.
